Did you know that you could train your cat to use the toilet? You read that correctly. Kitty toilet training sounds impossible but it can be done. Of course the cat won’t be able to flush the toilet, but they can be trained to actually sit on the toilet and go in the water. This alleviates the need for a cat box, kitty litter and you won’t have to change either of those ever again. You only have to flush the toilet when the cat’s done once the kitty toilet training has been completed. training kitties to use litter is very easy. You just stick the cat in the litter box and that’s all there is to it. Kitty toilet training, on the other hand, is a little more difficult. First you need cardboard, tape, kitty litter and a little bit of patience. With enough time using the toilet, your kitty toilet training should be complete and you’ll be able to throw your litter box away as you’ll have no use for it.

    The Set Up

In order to go about kitty toilet training, you’ll need to set your toilet up. You’ll need to design a sort of cat box to go inside your toilet. The easiest way to do this is to use cardboard. Create a little box that goes between the hole in the seat of the toilet. Use tape to hold the box in place. Fill the box with kitty litter. Then, put your cat in the box. Make sure it holds your cat up. If your cat dumps in the water, your kitty toilet training will probably be on a permanent hiatus as your cat will no longer jump onto your toilet for fear of that incident repeating itself. Your cat will use your little makeshift box just as it would its litter box. That’s the first step of kitty toilet training. Next, you have to train your cat to do away with its litter.

    Make It Smaller

When you’ve set up your toilet for kitty toilet training, you’re going to have to teach your cat that it no longer needs a box with litter in it. Slowly make the box you’ve made between the toilet seat smaller and smaller. Use less litter so that your cat becomes not so dependent on it. Eventually, you’ll be able to take the cardboard box away completely. Your cat will be so used to using the toilet that it will just go in the water just as humans do. Then, you’ll just have to come by every so often to flush the cat waste away.

Kitty toilet training isn’t as easy as just sitting your cat on the toilet seat and telling it to do its business. It takes a little trickery and patience but kitty toilet training can be done.
